The profit target is the goal you need to reach to successfully complete your account. How it works depends on the stage you're in.

In the Challenge phase, your profit target is a fixed percentage of your starting

balance. Once you reach this target (while staying within all other rules), you pass and move on to Funding.

In the Funding phase, there is no fixed profit target. Instead, your payouts are based on the consistency rule, so your results reflect steady trading rather than one big day.
